The HRIA looks forward to welcoming you to Brisbane for Australia’s best hire industry event, the Hire and Rental Industry Association’s 50th Convention, HIRE18.
Embracing the industry’s continued global prominence, HIRE18 will have a wider international perspective with delegates, speakers and partners bringing the best of the world’s hire and rental knowledge to Brisbane. HIRE18 will provide direct connection to people, businesses and services as well as the latest equipment and technology for the hire industry over a two-day event. HIRE18 offers a crucial meeting point for the entire hire industry and associated markets in Australia and will deliver two days of uninterrupted face-to-face sales and exhibition time across indoor exhibition halls as well as keynote speakers and seminars.
HIRE18 is the only place to see the latest in Access Equipment, Generators, Mini Equipment, Tools and Portable Buildings, Event Structures, Flooring, Lighting, Furniture, Rental and GPS Software, Training, Security and Insurance Services and much more all in one place. Indoor exhibitions will showcase the industry’s best, providing focused networking opportunities for every visitor. Topping off the event is the Hire Industry Excellence Awards and Gala Dinner which will bring attention to the outstanding and high achieving members of the industry.



The Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC) is the recipient of the World's Best Convention Centre.
Nestled in the heart of Brisbane's South Bank cultural precinct, our location is a unique drawcard for delegates and visitors attending events, exhibitions and conferences in Brisbane.

Getting to BCEC

The Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre has two entrances, one on Grey Street and our main entrance on the corner of Merivale & Glenelg Streets.

Public Transport

Getting to BCEC via public transport is easy and efficient with bus, ferry and train options available. More information about planning your journey via public transport can be found on the TransLink website.
South Brisbane Railway Station adjacent to the Convention Centre on Grey Street or South Bank Railway Station are the most convenient stations to the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre.
The Cultural Centre Station on Melbourne Street and the South Bank Busway Station cnr of Colchester and Tribune Streets are closest to BCEC.
The public transport ferries CityCats operate everyday and stop at the South Bank River Terminal on the Clem Jones Promenade. The inner-city ferry travels between the CBD, North Quay and Kangaroo Point, stopping at South Bank Terminal 1 and 2 on the Clem Jones Promenade.
